The Shores’ First Oceanfront Project in over 10 years boasts
Expert Development Team
Daytona Beach Shores, Fla. --- Aruba – the first oceanfront luxury condominium to break ground in the Daytona Beach Shores area in more than 10 years – will get underway with site demolition and construction start on May 31.
Veteran Volusia beachfront developer Jim Mack who partnered with Jacksonville-based developer Greenpointe Communities on the project, said the 12-story, 84-unit Aruba condominium has 60 units that overlook the ocean and 24 with water views.
Sales of the three and four bedroom condominiums priced from $370,000 are handled by Oceans Luxury Realty Full Service, and Crystal Anderson who heads the real estate firm said they have completed sales of 40 percent of the units and another 10 percent are in reservations status.
Mack, whose local experience includes development of seven other luxury oceanfront condominiums in the Ponce Inlet and Shores areas, said he and Greenpointe teamed up with several long-time experts for this landmark development project.
The general contractor is Peck and Associates, Inc., a local commercial construction firm credited with the first and second largest construction projects in the county, along with at least 30 buildings on the ocean changing Volusia County’s oceanfront skyline over the last 15 years.
Aruba’s architect, Larry Robinson, who designed several of Mack’s condominiums, has handled conceptual design through construction administration for approximately 40 midrise and
highrise buildings on the oceanfront in Central Florida throughout his career.
The civil engineer Upham, Inc. of Ormond Beach, has been providing accurate engineering services for local government, municipalities and major retailers for more than three decades in the area.
The Aruba site at 3721 S. Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach Shores has 225 lineal feet of beachfront just south of the Sunglow pier.
Condominiums will range from 1,400 square feet of living area to over 1,800 square feet. Four floor plans are available in three and four-bedroom configurations with some that feature wrap-around balconies.
Amenities include a fully-equipped workout center, clubroom, oceanfront swimming pool and private adult spa, under-building parking, onsite storage, and a homeowners association with onsite building maintenance and management.
Aruba is on target for completion and opening by November, 2018.
“We will only have 50 percent of the condominium units remaining for sale by ground breaking and once vertical construction gets going Aruba should sell out quickly,” said Mack, who has more than 25 years of experience in residential property development.
